“Kristína Peláková sings the Slovakian entry Horehronie, which tells about the eponymous Slovakian region. For this number we see a different colour of the stage that starts off as deep green and progresses to bright orange. There are strings of white lights hanging above the artists and dry ice smoke is used. . Kristina herself is wearing knee high boots and a green frilly dress that is short at the front. Her four male dancers have brown outfits with long jackets on top. They are all covered in green leaves to give an impression of a forest on stage. On the right hand side we have a female backing singer dressed in a white fairy dress, she does take over the main vocals while Kristina is being lifted by her dancers.
The dancers do a routine reminiscent maybe of the victorious one by Ruslana in 2004. The group of five keep a very tight formation in the middle of the stage. The dancers do a formation dance using sticks towards the end of the song. The setting supports the ethnic feel of the song and the viewers might feel that they are transformed to a fairytale forest.”

PETE:
“There is an excellent opening shot as the camera zooms closer to the stage at the instrumental start to the song, lots of lights in the ceiling which makes it look quite spaceship like ( those who know the film ‘Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind’ will know what I mean….Kristina’s vocals were good , though she did seem to have a few tuning issues in places, she actually sounded worse near the end of the rehearsal., but her last performance was a lot better. The one thing I do miss is the ‘Hey!’ shout from the male backing dancers near the end . I think this was a good part of the song but the dancers do not seem to have mics so it looks like that will be lost. Overall, the best visual presentation so far, though Kristina will have to work on her voice a little for the next rehearsal.”
KEITH:
“Just when I though I was going to spend the next two weeks trying to find fifty different ways of describing the dullness of the stage, we get out first “wow moment” …The overhead camera shots are the first “wow moment” of the day and it looks almost ethno-science fiction. I really don’t see the point of the wind machine, which I think should be dropped. That minor point aside, this is much better than I thought it might be and despite not having too many friendly neighbours and the bad draw, I think Slovakia will be in the final.”
ANDREW:
“Kristina sang through this rather well I thought better than I was expecting to be honest. I was overall happy with this performance today and can see it doing quite well.”

FOTIS:
The 2010 fairytale is working absolutely amazing on the monitors. The yellow lights and the green outfits are giving indeed an impression that we travel in time back to the old good days where love and true sentiment were the basic codes of communication between people, that’s what I get from this song. Kristina gives a very good vocal performance and the choreography for sure will win many points.
EVA:
As I recall this song was accused of plagiarism by FYR Macedonian press, right? Also this song tune is totally out of date. Isn’t this song been named as the Eurovision “Avatar” entry? Well Kristina is indeed very good in the vocals but the song is not the one which will make Europe award it the trophy. The clothes reminds me of Ruslana and i think we already saw that.
